our festive menu, the last collab of our year AND our christmas pantry

I hope you’ve settled into the festive period nicely, we’re going to decorate the restaurant this week and make mince pies which never fails to get me excited for the holidays. I’ve quite a lot to tell you about including our December menu, a last minute collab with Lap from Fire + Rice, our Christmas Pantry and our opening hours as we approach the end of the year. Also dare I mention Yule logs?
December Menu
Smoky almonds
Rosemary salami, cornichons
Treacle & granary rolls, salted butter
Hot honey carrots, brown butter hollandaise
Pigs in blankets, english mustard
Spiced parsnip fritters, sour cream
Shredded sprouts, cranberries, harissa yoghurt
Giant prawn cocktail vol au vent
Cauliflower orzotto, crispy cauliflower, chive

Dark chocolate cremeaux, sea salt & hazelnut tuile
British cheeses, membrillo, crackers
Fire + Rice Collab
Lap is doing one last sunday of the year this week, we still have 2 tables available if you wanted to join in the festive feasting. Tickets are £60pp and you can check out the menu over on instagram.
Christmas Pantry
I’m playing shopkeeper on the 22nd December and we’ll be open 11-2pm for all your festive larder needs. We’ll have mince pies, beef wellingtons, little last minute gifts, cheese, wine, AND a very limited number of Yule logs.
Speaking of Yule logs, I’ve unfortunately made the decision to scale production right back. The rising costs of literally everything coupled with a reduction in takings over the last 18 months has meant that when dreamy beanies have left I’ve not been able to replace them. This means I am doing 90% of the prep solo and I’m determined not to overwork myself, as I have been commonly known to do, and end up poorly on Christmas Day again. We’ll have some available at the pantry but I would probably recommend getting there early if you don’t want to miss out!
